Marta Moreno Gonzalez
PhD Student
After completing her bachelor's degree in Genetics at the University of Glasgow (UK), Marta moved to the Netherlands to pursue a master's degree in Cancer, Stem Cells, and Developmental Biology at Utrecht University. During her master’s she carried out an internship at the De Ridder group investigated the detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA from sequencing data. This internship inspired her interest in data analysis, prompting her to switch to full-time bioinformatics. She’s currently a PhD student at the Kind group (Hubrecht Institute) and a guest PhD student in the De Ridder group. Her research centers on single-cell multi-omics, utilizing data from various methods to explore chromatin remodeling in the context of cancer.
